The Schleier falls are not among the highest waterfalls, yet they exude a certain charm. Untouched nature shows itself here from its most beautiful side. A stream pours over the moss-covered steps into the bunting. Directly under the overhanging waterfall is the entrance to the Schleierwasserfallhöhle, where we used to crawl as children.

    Absolutely beautiful natural monument!

Officially, the access is blocked, so you're on your own risk and on the last few meters you have to be sure-footed.
And please pay special attention to the nature reserve here, the whole is a sensitive ecosystem and breeding ground for many floor breeders.

The Schleierfälle are currently not visible on foot, they are probably permanently locked wg. Risk of death.

At the moment the way from the Kraftweg is closed because of construction works.

Very impressive as the water in the finest threads, like a veil, the Moss-covered rocks, flows down ... just beautiful and fairy-tale ...

The Schleierfalls are no longer officially advertised because they wanted to let nature "run free" again. Too many hikers, visitors and yoga tourists have unfortunately almost destroyed this magical place. So if you hike here, please: DO NOT climb, DO NOT take stones with you, DO NOT leave moss, DO NOT shower under the waterfall ... actually all a joke if it weren't so serious and people hadn't really done it.
So: JUST LOOK, BE AMAZED, BE AMAZED! LET NATURE BE NATURAL!
Then our children will also benefit from it!

Today we made a wonderful hike from Bad Bayersoien to Soienmühle and the Schleier Falls. The highlights were more than 2 hours of walking on the soft forest floor along the Ammer. A pleasure for my feet!
Unfortunately, the route is no longer maintained (decision of the mayor), so it is only accessible for a short time. Because the route is demanding, up and down, partly muddy, partly clay soil.

The Schleier Falls are an exceptionally impressive highlight. They are fed by a spring stream that rises on the border of the chalk-rich gravel of the Ice Age to impermeable old "molasse layers". This brook falls like a veil over a fixed slope porch - simply fascinating.
Coming from the Soyer Mühle, the demanding hiking trail goes through the Ammer Gorge uphill downhill over roots, trails and footbridges; it can also be walked on in the rain, but definitely requires sturdy hiking shoes with a good profile and absolute surefootedness. Then it's a great experience. This highlight can be reached much more easily from the other side (Kammerl car park or Schleierfall car park).
