The "landmark" of the city Pegnitz is 544 m high.Once upon a time the Böheimstein castle was destroyed by the Nurembergers in 1553. There is no sign of the castle today, only the moat, which leads around the lookout tower in a wide arc, is still clearly visible.97 steps lead up to the tower - a rewarding climb because of the magnificent panoramic view of the city and the surrounding area. On the Festwiese various events take place during the summer months, i.a. the Waldstockfestival, the Sommernachtsfest der Jugend and Gregori.In addition, a beer garden invites you to quench your thirst, linger and make a snack. We offer warm and cold specialties from the Greek & Franconian cuisine. The area around the beer garden offers children plenty of space to play.
