    Reichenau Castle
At the confluence of the Hinterrhein and Vorderrhein, at the birthplace of the Alpine Rhine, lies Reichenau Castle. Built in the 17th century by the Schauenstein family, a family of episcopal ministers, it looks back on a long history. The last King of France even once lived here.
Today, the historic building is used as a winery by the von Tscharner family. Get to know wine producer Gian Battista von Tscharner and his straightforward, straightforward wines during a castle tour with wine tasting.

      Reichenau Castle
At the confluence of the Hinterrhein and Vorderrhein, at the birthplace of the Alpine Rhine, lies the historic town of Reichenau. Reichenau has long been of great importance: In the 14th century, when long-distance traffic over the Graubünden Alpine passes increased significantly, two bridges and a customs house were built. Reichenau was considered a traffic hub, where all traffic could be controlled. In Reichenau, the north-south routes diverge: along the Vorderrhein into the Oberland to the Lukmanier and Oberalp passes, and along the Hinterrhein through the Domleschg region, via the Splügen and San Bernardino.
