The Hamburg Constitutional Court is constitutional body next to citizenship and Senate. As the highest court of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg, it is responsible in particular for disputes between other constitutional bodies, for decisions on the compatibility of state laws and ordinances with the Hamburg Constitution, for complaints against the validity of elections to citizenship and district assemblies and for disputes over the implementation of Referendums and plebiscites.

The Hamburg Constitutional Court is the constitutional court of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the highest court and one of the three constitutional organs of this country.
The court is housed in the building of the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in the Justice Forum Hamburg on Sievekingplatz.
