Colliery Consolidation shaft 9
1915 Beginning of the Devil as the main production shaft 9 of the Consolidation colliery. 1917 Because of the war, the devil works are stopped. 1918 The devil works are resumed. 1922 start of production. 1988 Through the combination of the Consolidation and Nordstern collieries, the shaft arrives at the new coal mine Consolidation / Nordstern 1993 Through the consolidation of the Consolidation and Consolidation / Nordstern collieries, the shaft arrives at the new Hugo / Consolidation colliery. 1996 The shaft is shut down and filled up.
Even at operating times of the coal mine Consoldation recognized the monument value of the support frame on shaft 9 and so was already in 1987, the entry in the monument list of the city of Gelsenkirchen. The associated nacelles were put under protection in 1992. This was the first step in the preservation of the industrial monument. With the transfer of the conveyor framework and the nacelles into the ownership of the Foundation for Industrial Heritage and History Culture in 1998, the long-term preservation of the outstanding ensemble "Consolidation Schacht 9" was made possible.
