The outflowing cooling water is warmer than the Rhine, so it's good for fishing, but there are stones, gravel, and sharp shells everywhere, so there's no place for sunbathing. However, just 1 km north at the Niehler Riviera, there is plenty of sand and beach life.

The cooling water outlet can be recognized from afar by the iron grate – and by the "wild boar". The land art artist has skillfully shaped the tree stump so that everyone immediately recognizes the racing sow. It has also been placed so cleverly that it has survived various floods. Particularly humorous about it: On the beach behind it, things traditionally get "swinish". There, young and old locals indulge in nudism (FKK).
