The Rosskopfturm offers great views of the wide open country on all sides.

The Rosskopf is a mountain between the Werra and the chain of hills over which the Schneehagenweg runs (from Ludwigstein Castle to the Hohen Meissner). On the top there is an original wooden lookout tower with shelter and seating.
The view from the viewing platform is wonderful: to the north are the Ludwigstein and the villages of Werleshausen and Neuseesen, and you can also see Göttingen on the horizon. To the east are the opposite slopes and hills of the Werra valley. In a southerly direction, the view leads across the plain between Kammerbach and Wellerode to the Meissner and far into Thuringia. To the west is the Bilstein in the Kaufunger Forest and the chain of hills in front of it.

When looking to the north-east you can see Hanstein Castle and the Junkerkuppe very well
