The Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin's Mitte district is part of the architectural ensemble of the Museumsinsel and thus a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in 1876 by Johann Heinrich Strack in the style of classicism and neo-renaissance. Currently she is home to paintings and sculptures of the 19th century from the collection of the National Gallery.
