The Heck cattle is a back breeding of the aurochs. It is named after the breeder Heinz Heck (* 1894 - + 1982). The Heck cattle were bred from the original breeds Hungarian Steppe Cattle, Scottish Highland Cattle and Corsican Cattle 1920.
