At the entrance to Dolní Hraničná (Unterkunreuth), near the railway bridge, stands one of four atonement crosses in the area around Pomezí nad Ohří (Mühlbach). These ancient crosses, known in the Czech Republic as reconciliation crosses, are shrouded in legend. Reconciliation crosses served as a memorial for a violent or unfortunate death, as a sign of punishment and reconciliation with God and humanity, as a boundary marker, as a symbol.
