Presumably, this fortification is the court or thing
in the center of the castle ward mentioned in 967
    circus Haldensleben. The longest set
quarrying made a wall profile visible. In the course of
    the 1982 documentation was here
the colonization of the ridge in the Jungfrau
Stone Age (Schönfelder culture, about 2500 BC)
and in the younger Bronze Age (about 1000 BC) are detected.
    The fortification itself (approximately circular)
round castle with 110 m diameter) can be
due to lack of finds not exactly date. The
bound with lime mortar and about 3 meters
strong curtain wall has at least two construction
live up. It will therefore take a longer time to
    have stood.
The mid-19th century was created on the
northern tip of the castle wall first the
named after Johanne Nathusius vantage point "Hannchens Ruh".
