The pub: The „Doctor Flotte“ (or often just „Doc Flotte“) is a classic Frankfurt corner pub in the style of a Berlin beer hall. It has existed under this name since 1974 and is considered an institution in the Bockenheim district.
History of the 68ers: The building has an exciting past as a meeting place for the student movement. Before it became „Doctor Flotte“, the establishment was called „Zum Ludwig“ (run by the city-famous „Nutten-Louis“) and was a notorious „drinking battle zone“ and a nightly refuge for the 68er student leaders.
