  • Kalki 〽️

A hotspot in the region and should have been driven.

Update September 2020: the HCM path is completely passable again. Many thanks to everyone who put the trail back in such great condition !!!

8/8/20 Trail is closed due to tree fall work. They laid so much wood flat in the middle that I initially see black for the HCM

Entry from the Ho Chi Minh path, easy to drive because the route looks super tidy again & roots are always fun ;-)

Is only interesting because here the HCM and other trails start. Otherwise rather uninteresting.

Was unfortunately closed today due to forestry work :-(

Always drive carefully because more and more people are on the trail with and without a dog. 5 years ago you could surf the trail without oncoming traffic and with Garmin in hand 😉 today in Corona times ...

Because of the bark beetle, the path is no longer as it once was. Aaaaber, we drive the route with our children 7 and 9 every day because we live here and love the route. It's fun and can be done by anyone who is skilful. ❤️

Once upon a time, not so long ago, there was a trail near Lohmar. This trail was widely known as the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The brave warriors came from near and far on their aluminum and carbon horses to test themselves, to compete with friends or just to have fun.
But one day the evil forest trolls came and destroyed large parts of the trail. When our brave warrior noticed the catastrophe, he thought: "I'm really getting tired of this shit! Everywhere trails are being destroyed by tree felling or blocked by felled trees."
The first section is still passable. Shortly before it went down into the depression, the impact started and you can no longer drive. Every now and then it goes for a few meters, but in my opinion it is no longer worthwhile because you have to push or carry the bike for most of the distance.

Beware of those who drive this way. A tree lies on the route, relatively hidden in a curve. Otherwise easily passable

Legendary trail. Take Him more and more to your heart. Initially a bit disappointed because it is really exhausting to ride (bio bike). But with good cardio and vigor, the trail is awesome.
