The remnants of what was once a huge industrial site which stood on this beach. Check the tide times when visiting this structure as it looks its best when it's farthest out.

The pier was built in the 1960's to provide a source of fresh sea water to the nearby Magnesia plant.
The plant closed in the early 2000's and fell into disrepair. The council removed the land end of the pier to prevent people climbing out along it.
