Opposite the Laeiszhalle there is a historical jewel:
The BRAHMS KONTOR belongs to the first ranks of Expressionist brick classics in the Hanseatic city. Once the tallest office building in Hamburg, today it is a symbol of the Hanseatic office building tradition. Classic and modern can be found in the two parts of the building, in the tenant structure and in very architectural details.
Impressive facade art, a fantastic foyer in the Art Deco style, colorful wall tiles, a unique staircase and the partly listed rooms with a view of Johannes-Brahms-Platz inspire.brahms-kontor.de

Brahms Kontor has been the name of an office building on Johannes-Brahms-Platz in Hamburg's Neustadt district since 2005, which was built from 1903 to 1931 in several construction phases by the German National Handlers Association.
The 55 meter high skyscraper with its 15 storeys, which was last built between 1927 and 1931, was the highest secular building in Hamburg at the time.
From around 1965 to 2005 it was called the DAG House. The complex has been a listed building since 2003.

In 1904, the architects Werner Lundt and Georg Kallmorgen laid the foundation stone for what was then the tallest building in Hamburg's history after its completion. Opposite the Laeiszhalle is this jewel of expressionist brick culture in the best tradition of the Kontorhaus. Plenty of interesting designs inside and out.
