    You used to be able to drive up the sometimes quite steep road to the summit of Tünektepes. However, it is currently closed to everyone, including pedestrians, cyclists, drivers...
    You can officially only get up to Tünektepe by cable car.

    Every Monday the cable car is serviced, it is out of service and the gate attendant orders the technicians to go up.

    He didn't let me ride my bike up and said that the way up only led "through the wood". He didn't have to tell me twice, I found a path in the forest, then pushed a bit and later ended up further up this road and drove to the summit. This is how it works.
