Hiking Highlight (Segment)
On the southern slope of the Plattenberg mountain in the Schneeberg massif, mining activities in a silver mine were reported as early as the 16th century, although there was said to have been a silver house for miners. However, silver ores were not found here, possibly it was silver iron ore as in Fichtelberg-Neubau. Furthermore, it was probably only a test dismantling, because nothing is recorded in the margravial fief books.
