The parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Asbach is now a sacred gem that combines the Romanesque, Gothic, Rococo and modern styles in construction and furnishings
The church was built in the 13th century. Large parts of this Romanesque church are still preserved:
- the approximately 70 centimeter thick brick masonry of the
nave as well
- the two lower floors of the square, uneven
usually richly structured and decorated tower.
The typical Romanesque round arch friezes can still be seen on the outer wall and on both floors of the tower substructure.
