Bike Touring Highlight
The summit cross marks Berlin's highest naturally formed mountain. The Teufelsberg in the west of Berlin and more recently the Arkenberge in the north of Berlin are higher, but both are artificially created rubble or garbage dumps that are green. Nevertheless, there is no view here, since the summit is forested, only from the bench behind the summit there is a small line of sight in the direction of Köpenick and Allende-Viertel, you can already see a bit. In addition to the summit cross there is a rest area (bench with table), so if you have climbed the "summit" you can take a break here. You have to partially push the path up here from the junction of the asphalt path (signpost), it goes very steeply up and down again and there are many roots. Nevertheless, when you visit the Müggelberge, you should also take a look at the highest natural mountain in Berlin. There is a nice view towards Müggelsee a little further east. The way from the Müggelturm below the summit to Müggelheim is very nice, partly asphalted, partly gravel, very good to drive. The asphalt descent from the summit branch to Müggelheim is always fun. The tip with the bark stall already makes sense, although the bark stall is of course in Rahnsdorf at the Müggelsee lido and not here in the Müggelberge. However, you can combine both things very well on a round around the Müggelsee with Müggelbergen, after the Müggelberg climb and the journey you have earned the strengthening in the bark shack. Müggelberge and Müggelsee are always worth it when the weather is good, you have both smooth bike paths and beautiful swimming spots on the lake, but also nice climbs and descents in the Müggelberge.
