These many “green” stones on the summit are simply impressive and absolutely worth seeing. It's not only great fun for children to climb up here and admire the great natural spectacle.

The green stones are really something special! 💚 Good hiking shoes are advantageous, as walking on the sea of blocks requires good surefootedness. Va. In wet weather you should be careful here, also because some stones move as soon as you step on it!

Wonderful climb, especially from Finsterau, because it is the quieter variant

The highlight at Lusen. You can only enjoy enough after the strenuous climb.

One of the most impressive rock formations in the Bavarian Forest National Park and at the same time a well-known geological attraction is the Blockmeer at the summit of the Lusen. Granite blocks pile up wildly on an area of more than 200,000 square meters. This block field owes its formation to frost weathering during the Quaternary period

The rocks really look a little magical. No wonder that people tried to explain earlier how they came up in the form. Supposedly, it was believed that the devil stumbled or was scared while building and paving the road to hell and his cart full of paving stones had also emptied over the customer. 😁

It is fascinating how the summit is surrounded by the stone blocks. It looks as if the "sea of blocks" was created by a blast or an explosion.

You should have seen it. The view across the borders of the Sumava National Park is very nice in good weather.

Very interesting and impressive, just before the summit you walk through a sea of stones.
Very interesting and definitely something different.

A little difficult to walk on this sea of rocks, and there are still some rocking stones there dabei

Legendary, mystical and mystical stone formation. Even if you wobble a little, nothing can happen. You can then relax perfectly in the Lusenschutzhaus (apple and cheesecake were amazing).

It was a spectacular, wonderful and really very encouraging hike on the "summer path" in this wonderful winter landscape! Down the "Winterweg". The view on the way up and from the summit was breathtaking! Super great experience!
