Hiking Highlight
The lime farmer's chapel above the Irrsee was built between 1820-1830 and named after the lime farmer next to it. In 1885 the house chapel of the linden farmer was hit by a fire and then rebuilt.
Today the chapel is owned by the municipality of Zell am Moos. It is framed by large trees and also offers a small view of the Irrsee.
The Lindenbauernkapelle is 725 m above sea level (the Irrsee at 553 m) and is one of the lucky places in Mondseeland: mondsee.salzkammergut.at/detail/article/1007-gluecksplaetze.html
Two circular routes lead past the chapel: the Tannenweg (approx. 11 km) and the Almwiesenweg (7km).
