Hiking
On a clear day, you can expect wonderful views towards the Rhinogydd, Eryri's oldest mountains. Particularly impressive is the blunt pyramid of Rhinog Fawr, a great upthrust of 500-million-year-old rock. This path, along the western flanks of Craig y Penmaen, follows the course of the ancient (though obviously not by Rhinogydd standards) Sarn Helen Roman road, which ran 160 miles (257 km) through Wales.
