Works on paper (2004, in the Paulinerkirche).In the work of Grass, the butt (meaning the halibut) stands for life experience and wisdom. A similar and smaller version of the sculpture, the "Bücher-Butt", is the prize figure of the "German Book Prize" awarded on the occasion of the Leipzig Book Fair.The complete works of the Nobel Prize for Literature and Samuel Bogumil-Linde award winner of the partner cities Göttingen and Thorn are published by Steidl-Verlag Göttingen.Source: denkmal.goettingen.de
