The object is located at the northern end of Schloßstraße west of the Rheydt moated castle instead of the watermill already mentioned in the late Middle Ages. A two-and-a-half-story, seven-axle main building in brick under hipped roof with centrally protruding three-axis risalit and subsequently disguised gable triangle in an overall simple façade design. High rectangular window with stitch arch in the EC. A pierced passage allows access to the courtyard in the southern part of the house. The object is due to its location on the site of the former castle mill, as a successor building in place of the historic castle mill and document of beginning of the mid-19th century incipient functional and structural conversion to a cotton weaving and architecturally worth protecting as a monument.
