Gothic building from the 13th century.
The Cathedral of Arezzo is a Gothic three-nave basilica. The five bays of the nave are divided by bundle pillars and bear ribbed vaults. The clerestory windows have the shape of Okuli modeled on the Santa Maria Novella in Florence. To the north of the choir stands the slender, hexagonal campanile of 1857/1937. The missing transept and the abandonment of a dome are due to an influence of the mendicant architecture.
