Hiking Highlight
Pierre Bardou, a wealthy industrialist from Perpignan, commissioned an architect to build a castle for each of his three children. The son Justin got the Aubiry castle in Céret, the one daughter Camille (married to Charles Ducup got the Ducup castle in Saint Paul and the other daughter Jeanne got the castle of Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer).
In 1930 the castle was sold and the new owners started growing wine. As a result, the wines here became recognized brands. The castle is still in the family of the new owners at the time. The castle is also used for tourism. Premises can be rented for vacation.
