Hagnau's history is inextricably linked to viticulture. The place is known for its vast wine growing areas. The wine cooperative, the wine cooperative Hagnau eG, is the oldest in Baden and the largest on Lake Constance, both after members (97 winemakers from 50 vintner families) as well as hectares of vineyards (150 hectares of cultivated area). Meanwhile, many winegrowers have created a second mainstay with tourism.
