THE SEALING HOLE
Swimming enthusiasts like to come to this place. It used to be a storage place for floating wood, so it was very dangerous. In the 19th century, it was the main activity of the loggers' trade known as « Miquelets ». In autumn or in spring, when the water level allowed, these strong men carried the felled trees on the water until they arrived in this « Vanne », the «closing hole». At the beginning of the XXth century, this activity was discontinued.November 9, 2022
