At the top of the stairs you have a good view of the historic town hall and the town hall square.

The outside staircase consists of 49 steps and begins at the bottom in two staircases, which enclose a staircase fountain with a marble basin decorated with a granite relief of the town coat of arms. A first paragraph, decorated with the coats of arms of the two incorporated in 1972 to Kempten Rural communities Sankt Mang and St. Lawrence, leads to a centrally located single flight of stairs, which in turn leads to the next paragraph. On its wall was a commemorative plaque commemorating the victims and warriors of the Second World War. From this paragraph, the staircase divides again into two flights of stairs, which lead to the upper end.Source: Wikipedia
