Tips
The potter is a 582 m above sea level. NHN high mountain
in the Zittau Mountains north-east of the village
Oybin. He is best known for
its geological formations, the
Mountain hut on the summit and the
view of the Upper Lusatian mountains,
the Giant and Jizera Mountains and the
City of Zittau.
The mountain hut is closed on Tuesdays !!September 14, 2022

It is an easy hike from Oybin to the Töpferbaude, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view and from there you can hike further into the Zittau Mountains.

Sturdy shoes are required if you want to take the steep paths off the main routes (e.g. crawl) or climb the viewing rock. A visit to the restaurant is worthwhile, a snack bar in front of it is also open irregularly. Don't let the current protective fences against "African swine fever" stop you from climbing the mountain (the gates just have to be locked again and again).
