The Powder Tower is a tower of the listed city fortifications of Templin in Brandenburg.
It is located in the eastern part of the Templin old town near the Prenzlauer Tor. The tower was built in the early 15th century from an older semicircular Wiekhaus the Templiner city fortification. It is built of brick and is covered by a massive brick cone helmet. The brick roof made it non-flammable and served as a powder tower for storing gunpowder.Source: Wikipedia
