The Alp Grüm is one of the most important thanks to its altitude of 2091 m above sea level. M. railway station is a well-known small settlement in the municipality of Poschiavo in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.
Today's station building, which is both a buffet and a hotel, was opened in 1926.
The settlement, which is not connected to the road network, can be reached by train all year round. The mule track that opens up the settlement is only passable in summer and is closed to motorized traffic.The place is a stopping point of the Rhaetian Railway (Bernina Line between St. Moritz and Tirano) on the Puschlav side of the Bernina Pass. The route between Ospizio Bernina and Poschiavo, on which the station designed as a crossing station is located, was opened on June 5, 1910 by the Bernina railway company.From the train station you have a wide view of the Palü glacier, the Lagh da Palü and Puschlav, mainly thanks to the 180° curve south of the station. Between Alp Grüm and the Italian-speaking Puschlav, the trains of the Rhaetian Railway meander through narrow, partially covered curves and hairpin bends as well as five spiral tunnels with a gradient of up to 70 ‰.
