Museum of Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Work Börry
A historical tour through 200 years of agricultural history in the Weserbergland awaits you in the Museumsdorf Börry. The listed building ensemble with farmhouse (1818), barn (1851), sheepfold, bakery and the old church Niederbörry (1288) was extensively renovated and restored by the municipality Emmerthal. Affectionately cares for the exhibitions, a support association, which also organizes a craft day and a harvest festival in the museum every year. On these days, work is going on in the yard and in the old workshops as before.In the buildings and in the large outdoor area with three outbuildings various exhibitions lead through the development of the labor-intensive farm to the technical farm. In addition, the old workshops of craftsmen of the village, such as wheelwright, blacksmith and shoemaker can be admired. The outbuildings show the large outdoor units and the tractor collection with vehicles from 1938 onwards.Before, during or after the tour, the museum café, located in the old bakery, invites you to linger and enjoy.
