Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
The Old Leash is a former branch of the leash. Today the old leash is created by the confluence of Fuchsbach and Koldinger Mühlengraben. When the leash floods, it still has the function of a tether of the leash. The old line meanders along a length of about 12 km close to nature through the lowlands with demolished edges, bumps and gliding. The river bed is mostly sandy and pebbly, in quiet places mud and mud has settled. The river sections are accompanied in parts by riparian forest residues and high-altitude herbaceous areas. The floodplains are often flooded and have numerous flood plots. These are characterized by pronounced wetland vegetation such as reed beds and flood gullies.
