The Kneipp mausoleum in the town of Bad Wörishofen, in the district of Unterallgäu (Bavaria), rises above the grave of Sebastian Kneipp, who died in 1897. The mausoleum in the middle of the cemetery was built on the occasion of his 40th anniversary in 1937. The design for the listed building is by David Eberle from Bad Wörishofen. Behind the mausoleum rises a large crucifix donated by Alfred Baumgarten.Inside is the sarcophagus made of black marble by Kneipp. On the sides of the sarcophagus are white marble reliefs with allegories of the cardinal virtues. The white marble cover plate contains an inscription and a tondo with the relief bust of Sebastian Kneipp.Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kneipp-Mausoleum
