Hiking Highlight
Directly below the summit cross of the Litermont, a rock passage secured by ropes was opened up and called "Paulus-Steig". Actually, the ascent over the rocks is unnecessary, as steep and flat paths all around lead to the summit. But it is a lot of fun to climb over the rocks, although this can be done without ropes even by inexperienced people.
A "via ferrata secured with ropes" looks good in the brochure; o)
Therefore, at first I thought that the sensational description in the 11th edition of the Traumschleifen Saar-Hunsrück prospectus had been placed incorrectly, because nothing could be read about it in the 10th edition.

Very nice rock trail that leads to the summit climb. But you also have the choice between a easy and difficult way. But recommend the good road with good surefootedness and a little experience. No special equipment is needed, but definitely good hiking boots!

Just below the Litermont summit and the Pauline via ferrata, a path leads through a few rocks. A single rest bench in the rock provides a quiet place for a break.

A little alpine adventure on the Litermont summit tour, just before the "destination". Tiring, but there is a signposted loafers

As an alternative to the flatter path in the wider arch, the rocky path can also be used as an ascent option for the last few meters to the summit for those who are sure-footed. Ropes help in an emergency to find support.
