The museum is located in the old building of Cbs de Hoeksteen. Jo Schonewille had for years a private museum about the Second World War: "Nieuwlande, a village that was silent". After his death in 2016, Stichting Onderduikermuseum de Duikelaar was committed to preserving the collection. The many objects, photos and papers that he collected over time are part of the new museum to be set up on loan. The motto is: The village that was silent has a lot to say. There is also a cycle route available that will take you past various historical places that have to do with Newland in the 2nd World War.

    - The hiding place on Johannes Poststraat is also highly recommended
