Mountain biking
Gliesmarode was not an independent parish, but belonged since 1031 to the newly founded parish of St. Magni in Brunswick. In 1226 the village became the property of the Cistercian monastery Riddagshausen. In 1935 an independent parish was founded, which in 1936 received its own church (4).
