Mountain Biking Highlight
The arch was built between 1647 and 1688 based on a design by Giovenale Boetto from Fossano, as an ex-voto for the city for having been exempt from the plague of 1630-1631.
It is crowned by the statues of the Madonna del Rosario, a marble work by Saverio Franzi from 1832, and by the saints who promoted the Marian cult: Sant'Iffredo, San Domenico, Beato Alano de Rupe and San Nicola da Tolentino, works in terracotta that came to replace those original in wood deteriorated over time. In the lateral niches there are the images of the patron saints of Cherasco: S.Virginio and S.ta Euflamia.
