With its 115 hectares, the Venusberg nature reserve is the largest nature reserve in the Böblingen district. The Venusberg is one of the far-reaching hilltops that tower over the gently undulating shell limestone landscape in Heckengäu.There is a beautiful view of the surroundings from the Venusberg plateau. The nature reserve includes a richly structured landscape of closely connected heath, forest and meadow areas, bushes, hedges and stone blocks. A diverse flora and fauna with rare species find optimal conditions in this protected area.The largest juniper heath in the district stretches around the summit of the 537 meter high Venusberg. The Woven Wolfsäcker is characterized by heathland and hay meadows and is home to numerous rare plants and animals.
