The "Old Guard" is on Market 14 in Northeim. It was built in the mid-14th century as the St. Fabian and St. Sebastian chapel and was used as a gate to the main police station in the 18th century for military purposes. Inside the cross vault has been preserved, which was restored in 1985/86 during a renovation.
