The Nette is a river in the Lower Rhine region. It is about 28 kilometers long and has a catchment area of about 180 square kilometers.
The Nette begins in Dülken and flows first past Boisheim, then through some Nette lakes near Lobberich and Breyell, then through the Krickenbeck lakes and then towards Wachtendonk. It flows into the Niers north of Wachtendonk.
The Nette is the namesake for the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, which it flows through, and for the town of Nettetal, which was created in 1970 during a regional reform (formed from Lobberich, Breyell, Hinsbeck, Leuth, Kaldenkirchen and Schaag).
