The National Park House Museum Fedderwardersiel is located in the port of Fedderwardersiel in two buildings of the former Customs Office from 1846.Here you will find a unique combination of national park house and museum, because in our region, nature and culture are closely related: people have painstakingly wrested from the sea the land on which they live. Dike structures and a far-reaching drainage system ensure that we keep our livelihood. The processes in nature are more apparent here than elsewhere: the sun and the moon determine our tides. In our tidal model you can experience this spectacle every hour on the hour. The National Park House Museum Fedderwardersiel also informs about a magnificent natural phenomenon right on our doorstep: The Wadden Sea.If you want to see a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you do not have to drive to the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef or the Amazon, but you can visit the Wadden Sea National Park on the North German coast.
