The HADAG line 62 of the Hamburg harbor ferries is not only an important part of the HVV, but for connoisseurs also a cheaper alternative to the classic harbor cruise. The picturesque route leads up the Elbe along many sights.
The HADAG line 62 is probably the most popular line of HADAG harbor ferries and its passenger numbers are growing steadily. For commuters, as part of the HVV, it is an important means of transport to get to the other side of the Elbe quickly and cheaply. For tourists, it is also popular as a low-cost alternative to the classic harbor cruise. The scenic route leads from the bridge 3 to the jetties down the Elbe and stops at many popular attractions. After the jetties, you will stop at the famous Fish Market, then continue downstream to the Cruise Center Altona and Dockland. Next, the ferry stops at the museum harbor Övelgönne, from where the Elbe beach for sunbathing, walking and watching ships. Then the ferry crosses the Elbe and stops on the other side in Finkenwerder, from where it starts its return journey upstream.
Of course, a driver can not offer the same as a professionally accompanied harbor tour, but still worth a tour with the line 62. From the water, passengers can not only watch thick container ships or cruise giants on the Elbe, but even take their bike and, for example, on Depart the museum harbor Övelgönne and cycle to Blankenese, Othmarschen or Ottensen. If you ride all the way to the other side of the Elbe, from there you can change to ferry line 64 and continue to Teufelsbrück.
