Nice start for a hike. And 20 minutes on Sunday is also ok, especially since you can already on board before.

The BVG ferry commutes throughout the year between Grünau and the Köpenicker district Wendenschloß. Weekdays from 06:00 to 20:00 clock every 20 minutes. At peak times early and even every 10 minutes.
At the weekend, the ferry starts a little later. Saturdays 7:30 in the summer and 8:30 in the winter. Sundays all year round 08:30.

It should also be noted that the ferry does not operate in heavy fog or when there is a thick ice cover. The ferry belongs to the BVG and can be used with a VBB ticket. A short-haul ticket is sufficient for the one-time crossing.
