The town hall of Bad Hersfeld, built mainly in the style of the Weser Renaissance, dates back to the 14th century in its oldest parts. Particularly impressive is the eastern facade of the south wing facing the square, with its two ornate gables.
The Lullusbrunnen in front of the town hall is a monument fountain built in 1866, dedicated to the Benedictine monk Lullus, the first abbot of the monastery Hersfeld and successor of Boniface as Archbishop of Mainz.
