The Meurasteine are rock formations that are under protection as a geological surface natural monument. The visitor can expect a triple staggered wall, which protrudes on a rocky back a bit into the Schlagetal into it. This fissured rock formation, formed in the Earth's antiquity, consists of about 500 million year old quartzites, the surface of which strongly resembles that of carved marble blocks. Climbing one of the cliff-topped staircases reveals little hidden traces of fossils when you look closely at the rocks between lichen and mosses. At the top, a refuge awaits the visitor, who may feel like he is floating in the middle of the surrounding treetops above the valley. From here and from some other places there is a beautiful view of the impressive landscape of the surroundings.
