In memory of an oak tree over 150 years old that unfortunately had to be felled, an artist carved two decorative owls from the stump of the tree. A plaque provides information:
“There was a beautiful 155 year old oak tree that had to be felled in November 2003 due to illness. All of us who have rested, laughed, eaten, played and celebrated under this tree miss her very much. This sculpture, which was carved from the trunk of the old oak, is now in memory of this beautiful time. A new pedunculate oak was already planted this spring. We wish it to grow to the same magnificence. August 2004 "

The owls are suddenly there! Somewhat hidden, but already impressive!
