The Walburgis Chapel, which was first mentioned around 1350 and was built in its current form in 1697, probably gave the mountain its name. The bronze statue of Saint Walburga, which stands in front of the chapel and was inaugurated in 2000, is very striking. Very nice sculpture with a display board about the life of Saint Walburga and the statue, worth seeing.

  • The Sankt-Walburgis-Kapelle is the namesake of the "Walberla-Berg".

The chapel was built in the 17th century. It is dedicated to Saint Walburga. The chapel, probably first mentioned in 1350, was initially made of wood. The current chapel was built in 1697 by the Lords of Wiesenthau.

The bronze statue of Saint Walburga, which stands in front of the chapel and was inaugurated in 2000, is very striking.

The Walburgis Chapel is located on the Ehrenbürg, also called Walberla, with an altitude of 523 meters, it is above the village of Kirchehrenbach. The name of the chapel was probably derived from Saint Walburga.
