The church was built in the Gothic style at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. It has a rectangular plan and a separate presbytery. The building is made of field stones using bricks. In the second half of the 18th century, it was thoroughly rebuilt, as a result of which it received a new interior, as well as a ceiling and a roof. The church in Racula was in the hands of local Protestants from 1525-1654, who made it their church. From 1833 to 1945 it was the branch church of the parish NS. Jadwiga in Zielona Góra. Bell tower; was built in the second half of the 18th century on the site of an old dilapidated church tower from the 15th century. The structure is square, made of wood and has a rod structure. There are 3 old bells hanging on the tower that did not come from Racula. The largest bell was brought in the second half of the 19th century. 18th century from Leśniów Wielki, medium from the collapsed church in Drzonków and the smallest from Milsko.
